POWER X-TRAVAGANZA: Part X (#20-11)

Everyone's so into it, so why not make it a two for one day?

Here we are... probably a bittersweet segment, because while half the wrestlers remaining will make the top 10, the other half will be coming up short, knowing they came oh so close.  Still, in a company as deep and exciting as FFW, theres absolutely no shame in being in the Top 20, either.

IGNIS
2013 Record: 8-4
Getting two title reigns in the span of a single year isn't very common in FFW, but Ignis did it, first of all teaming with Hayley to become the Unity Champion for a second time, and then breaking out on her own and becoming the Future Shock Champion after nipping Atherton in a very tight match.  Even though she did lose that belt to Gabrielle Crimson at Anarchy, there's little doubt that Ignis is in contention for that belt, as well as the upcoming Trios title.

KATHERINE STRYFE
2013 Record: 5-5
We give Kat Stryfe a lot of shit on here, and it's pretty much all deserved.  But you also can't deny that Kat had one of the best openings to 2013, winning four in a row and capturing the Evolution Championship.  She unravelled both in-ring and mentally in the second half, culminating with a spectacular beatdown at the hands of Eileen Amaro.  But the fact remains that no one can claim otherwise: Kat Stryfe was the first and so far only FFW Grand Slam Champion.

ALYSSON GARDNER
2013 Record: 9-3-1
Aly return to FFW started slow, winning matches against lesser talent and dropping a match to Kara Harrington.  But it was at Sin & Sacrifice that Alysson exploded onto the scene when she upset Emma MacNamara to become the #1 contender to the Ultraviolence Championship.  She claimed that belt at Anarchy, and has already defended it once against Kate Steele, finishing 2013 on a five match winning streak.

CASEY ATHERTON
2013 Record: 6-4
It seems odd that a woman who made her name as a tag team competitor would have such an awful tag year- she went 0-3.  Singles wise, however, she was spectacular, becoming the first ever Future Shock Champion and holding it for five months, as well as a surprise win over Camilla Pazzini back in April.  With her longstanding grudge with Starla McCloud finally being settled at WWC, 2014 could be a true breakout year for a woman once considered a laughingstock in the company.

EMMA MACNAMARA
2013 Record: 5-6
Emma started the year off strong, knocking off Cara Stone in the Prison of PUnishment to claim the UV Title, but shortly after was forced into a brief hiatus- and she never truly recovered.  Her first match back saw her lose the UV belt to Undine, and she dropped tough matches to Wendy, Jodie, Alysson, and Rebecka Hate to finish the year.  Still, she's never far from the UV title, and could easily reclaim her throne in early 2014.

STARLA MCCLOUD
2013 Record: 2-7
Sometimes Record isn't the entire story, and Starla is proof of that.  She was always in contention for the FFW Championship during the early part of the year, and was in two PPV main events, but just came up short each time she contended.  She was seldom seen during the last half of the year, her only match a losing effort to Caroline Stark at indomitable, but even a brief hiatus means she's never truly far from getting back into contention.

MISTY WHITMORE
2013 Record: 9-7-3
If you want to talk about a transformation,, look no further than the voice of the people  In April, Misty was losing to the likes of Jessika Hexstar and Shane Sanders.  By Anarchy, she was knocking off Lightning and claiming the TV Championship, and finished the year with an epic, emotional win over her role-model, Lyn Dallins.  This is still a young wrestler who's learning, but the improvement we see on a monthly basis from her is remarkable.

CRYSTAL HILTON
2013 Record: 5-6-1
Crystal would rather forget the first four months of 2013- she lost the Evolution Championship, didn't win a single match, and was hospitalized at the hands of Rori Mackenzie.  She picked up things in the second half, though, with wins over Sophie Richards, Stacey, and a huge shocking upset of Poets & Prophets at the Unity Special.  Alas, she struggled with her big rivals for the year- Rori and Scarlett Kincaid, and was bounced out of the Femme For All by the latter.

TARA THUNDER
2013 Record: 6-3
It feels odd that someone like Tara Thunder would go through 2013 with so few matches- she went four months only booked once, for example.  But she kept winning, and extended her No Surrender Championship run into one of the longest title reigns in FFW history.  Her clashes with Caroline Stark have become legendary, and it's only a matter of time before Tara reasserts herself back into the Top 10- if not Top 5

SCARLETT KINCAID
2013 Record: 7-2
Scarlett carries a phenomenal distinction- she is the only woman in the Top 20 to have not held a title for the entire year.  Scarlett had a relatively quiet year (compared especially to 2011 and 2012), but she was still effective in the ring, even if strangely discordant for much of the year after her controversial postmatch walkaway at Chaos Theory.  She's seemingly put that behind her now, and with a Femme For All win, finally returns from exile from the FFW Title picture at One Night Stand.

NEXT UP: THE TOP TEN.  If they haven't been listed yet...they're in it!  Or we completely forgot about them.  One of the two.
