We hit the halfway point today, in our countdown of the top FFW stars of 2013. Like said earlier, this installment has a pretty significant international flavor as we get closer and closer to the Top 50
HANNA ELLIOTT
2013 Record: 0-5-1
Nobody was better at feeling sorry for herself than Hanna, who could take months to recover from even the most simple of losses. She had plenty of opportunities throughout 2014 against some stiff compeition, but ultimately couldn't capitalize on any.
TIFA HEAFY
2013 Record: 3-3
The pressure's on for Tifa, as she finished the year off by winning FFW's "One To Watch", an award that puts her in the same camp as Eileen Amaro and Caroline Stark. Her near win in the TV Title ladder match is a testament to her promise, and she's pretty much guaranteed to start her 2014 PPV Schedule off with a win.
DESTINY CAMPBELL
2013 Record: 5-2
Save for a close loss to Misty for the TV title, Destiny didn't exactly face a murderer's row in 2013, but she got the job done more often than not, including a win over Candi that launched her into title contention. It's a given that she'll be challenging for the belt again in 2014.
STARDUST
2013 Record: 2-2
THe pretty half of the Future Shock Season X Champions seems to also be the most levelheaded member of the group. Of course, that's if you don't count Obama, and, well, why wouldn't you count the 2013 Most Influential?
METEORA
2013 Record: 2-2
Despite winning Season X, the Rudos found themselves in the shadow of the runner ups- Witches' Brew, who went on to win the Unity titles. It hardly maters, to be honest, the Mexicans are carving out their own niche in FFW, one crime against humanity at a time.
CARA STONE
2013 Record: 0-1
Cara entered 2013 the Ultraviolence Champion, but a quick upset to Emma MacNamara at Cold Blooded changed that. It only got worse- Cara lost her cool and badmouthed the company during the Extreme Envy special, and was shown the door as a result. Last I heard, she's somewhere in the independent circuit, and there's a lot of women in FFW who'd love to have her back.
SOPHIA BLACK
2013 Record: 3-11
For a few weeks in the early summer, it looked like Sophia was finally going to turn the corner, culminating at Unstoppable with a win over Jo McFarlane and Neon. But things slowly began to go downhill after theat, and Sophia went back to her old form, losing five in a row to end the year.
STACEY
2013 Record: 1-3-1
It's a pretty far fall when you start the year running lackey work for the same woman who screwed you out of the FFW Championship six months prior, but that's where Stacey was. SHe never really recovered, going on hiatus before coming back and suffering the first true falls of her FFW tenure to Serafina and Crystal Hilton. At least she's doing better in SVW... albeit with Legendary to back her up.
MILEENA SAVAGE
2013 Record: 3-8
Mileena hit the ground running with an upset win over Claire Black and a runner up position in the Extreme Envy battle royal. After that, things went downhill with losses to Arabella and Stephanie Sullivan, as well as a rematch to Claire Black. Nonetheless, she remains as antagonistic as ever, and closed the year on a strong note, being runner up in the No Surrender Chase For the Crown.
SOPHIE RICHARDS
2013 Record: 2-1-1
It was a strangely uneventful year for the former TV Champion- Sophie's only purpose in FFW seemed to be ridding the company of Desirae Kain. She accomplished that at Unstoppable IV, and neither she nor Desi has been seen in the ring since. That changes next month- Sophie was the lucky woman to draw a main event match against Wendy Briese at Byte This V.
NEXT UP: What could have been, what never was, what might be soon, and please go away stupid British lady.
