For the first time in fourteen months, FFW returns to the Land Down Under! Of course, those of us who remember what happened the last time we visited Australia might not be so excited, as that was the location of the much-maligned Sydney Screwjob, when Isabella Pazzini took advantage of a tired Stacey Mackenzie to land a bellhammer shot in an impromptu match. Well, luckily, both Stacey and Isabella are now figments of FFW history, Val Lamb isn't scheduled to wrestle, and not a single title is on the line. So the chances of us leaving Australia this time without a near-locker room revolt are comparably good.
Now...
TARYN ROBINSON vs. TIFA HEAFY
Taryn Robinson has showed zero inclination to even ACT like she's in FFW since she showed up, and seems to have realized how much she's in over her head, and that if she pretends she's not here, it'll all just go away. Tifa's probably in over her head, too, but at least she's hell bent on going down fighting. She won't be going down this time, but I have a feeling Robinson will be going out. Of the company.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Tifa Heafy in a cakewalk
TAG TEAM MATCH
ANGER MANAGEMENT (April Evans & Penny Buchanan) vs. RUDO GALACTICA (Meteora & Stardust)
Poor Penny. Just as soon as she gets some momentum behind her and on a hot streak, she's forced back into a tag match with April, and likely in for a bad night. We haven't seen the Rudos since their ill-fated teaming with Trinity at Unstoppable, but with the tag titles coming up for them at S&S, we're going to see them in all their (evil, cheating, hateful) glory.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Rudo Galactica. It will be glorious.
EMMA MACNAMARA vs. JODIE GRAY
Two women going opposite directions here. Emma's lost three of her last five, but after watching "Li'l Miss" walk off with her title and then tapping out to Wendy last month she's probably ready to smash the face in of the next person who's across her in the ring. That's Jodie Gray, who hasn't been all that much better than Emma record wise, but is coming off a shocking win in the Future Shock Cup, and is hopefully riding a rather large wave of momentum. Still, Emma's at her best when she's pissed off, and Jodie's about to find that out the hard way.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Emma MacNamara. By attempted murder.
REBECKA HATE vs. SOPHIA BLACK
Definitely a more interesting matchup between two of our more... angry competitors. This is probably the biggest tossup of the evening, as both women are capable of going explosively violent at any moment. But Becky has the tendency to remain in control during her homicidal rages much more than Sophia can, which, since this is not a no DQ match, will be beneficial. SO it might by by disqualification, but I'd say Becky's got the best odds here.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Rebecka Hate. By attempted murder (your guess as to who's making the attempt and whether or not there's a DQ involved)
ARABELLA BLACK vs. KATHERINE STRYFE
Arabella comes into this match sporting a two match win streak- both coming in April. Kat Stryfe is also back in the ring after a month after a very unfocused performance at Unstoppable. Arabella's a dangerous woman, and is more than capable of winning this, but there's simply too much rust for her to knock off for me to swing the predictometer her way.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Katherine Stryfe. In surprisingly narrow fashion.
KELLY MCGUFFIN vs. CRYSTAL HILTON
I'm not exaggerating when I say that bagging the Rose Goddess will easily be the biggest win Kelly's ever had in her singles career. But that's easier said than done- Crystal has a knack for getting wins at the most annoying times. Still, Kelly has a great opportunity to soften Hilton up for Scarlett at S&S. Both women love the high risk go big moment, so this match should ultimately come down to not who is the better high flyer, but who is the smarter one about taking risks. History has shown that is clearly the slightly less neurotic Kelly, and so she's tipped as the fave.
POLLASKI PREDICTS: Kelly McGuffin. Likely after a face-palm worthy crash & burn by Crystal.
