NOT THAT WE'RE COMPARING CLAIRE TO ROCKY OR ANYTHING... |
The Steele Stranglehold on the season has been broken!
It was a wild, crazy and controversial night last night on Future Shock, featuring three gutsy performances and one, well, kind of chickenshit one. Most notable of last night’s was Claire Black’s… we don’t want to call it dominance, but it was still a fantastic performance from the Bostonian, going through all three women in the gauntlet match on her own.. Erica’s performance was gutty as all hell, and Kate’s was, well, more 2013 Kate than 2015.
So now with the penultimate challenge behind us the question comes up- who’s going on, and who’s heading home? Let’s round them up!
6TH PLACE: Freya Kane (Eliminated)
5TH PLACE: Stacey (Eliminated)
#4 VALENTINA LOZANO (ON THE HOT SEAT): If this isn’t the end of Valentina Lozano, I’ll be utterly amazed. She carried the second-highest vote total in last week’s elimination, and did absolutely nothing to change people’s minds in that regard. Maybe theres some really sick people that actually enjoyed her going ballistic and attacking both Claire and Kate, but you could probably count those on one hand. Fact of the matter is, Valentina needed to impress, and she came off as a mediocre ragebaby. To hell with her.
#3 ERICA HORTON: Erica’s proving to be quite the Houdini in Future Shock, managing to stay just ahead of the dreaded cutline each time. It’ll be interesting to see what the perception of last night for her was going forward. One on hand, it was a fantastic, gutty fight against Claire that saw her escape elimination several time, and literally miss out on winning by inches. On the other hand, should it have ever even come to that, considering she walked out to a half-dead Claire, only neediing to toss her over the top rope? Either way, her duplicating the sympathy no-vote she managed to pull off in the wake of Episode 2 will prove almost impossible.
#2 KATE STEELE (AMNESTY): After two weeks of sheer domination, Kate looked extremely vulnerable last night, although you can credit that to the robotic shit-stomping machine Isis Morales. And while it’s pretty obvious that Valentina’s going out next Tuesday the question remains- does she take Kate’s amnesty card with her? It’d be absolute bullshit if she did- Kate’s done nothing to meriit losing amnesty, and even showed a level of sportsmanship we haven’t seen before when she ran out to help Claire- something that might have cost her this match. But there’s a lot of people out there that would vote it away just because they could, without much of an excuse. These people are terrible, and you should avoid them.
#1 CLAIRE BLACK: I won’t go so far as to say Claire’s performance in episode 3 was the best single performance in Future Shock history, but its probably in the Top 5. Already battered and beaten thanks to a brawl with Arabella less than forty-eight hours prior, she survived three women and a mob jumping to push through to win the challenge from the worst possible draw. For someone entering the week in a meh position and needing to make an impact, Claire made a MASSIVE one, and it might prove something that not only pushes her through the next checkpoint, but all the way into the finals.
Alright guys. You’ve seen the show. You’ve read the expert analysis! Now it’s your chance to vote! Head over here: http://ffw.freesmfhosting.com/index.php/topic,3658.0.html and make democracy happen!
