Show Rankings & Grades: Breaking Point April 27, 2013

An absolutely stellar and wild Breaking Point tonight.  Lots of girls putting out some pretty great effort.  It seems things get kicked up a notch whenever we are in Indy, and that sure proved to be the case this time.  Anyways, individual show rankings!

=========GRADE: A===========
1. WENDY BRIESE- It took Wendy 345 days from her initial debut to defeat a woman who had once held the FFW Championship.  She did it in her second match this time around.  Briese has come back, with a vengeance.

2. SCARLETT KINCAID- Honestly, Scarlett's performance against Kain last night was so great, it's really like she's 1B here.

==========GRADE: B+=============
3. KATHERINE STRYFE- Stryfe had a great performance, pretty much dominating the early stages of the match with Wendy and nearly getting it there in the end until an unfortunate reversal of her SHTTS.

=========GRADE: B=================
4. DESIRAE KAIN- So... many.. near... falls.  Kain/Kincaid might have actually beaten out Briese/Stryfe for match of the night.  Either way, Kain proved she could HANG with a former FFW Champion, but she needs to show us that she can BEAT them.

5. AIMEE EASTER
6. LIGHTNING- Might as well just stick these two together here. Anger Management might be the #1 Contenders right now, but I think these two are now the biggest threat Bounce & Pounce has.

7. ARABELLA BLACK- Well, she would have gotten the pin on Dante KNox, but she let Mileena drag him out of the ring, so the match ended in a countout.

8. SOPHIE RICHARDS- We don't get to see Sophie all that much these days, but she certainly did a good job of reminding us she's still here with a strong performance against Candi.

==============GRADE: B-==================
9. CLAIRE BLACK- Arabella seemed to have a bit more offense in between the two, but Claire also did very well in making sure she reminded Mileena Savage just who she was dealing with.

10. MILEENA SAVAGE- You actually have to give Mileena credit here.  She held out for a while in what was virtually a handicapped match, and with Dante in the ring, you can't really blame her for wanting to get out of dodge.

==============GRADE: C================
11. ALLISON WILLIAMS- The cheerleader is taking things seriously, we'll give her that.  But heart can only get you so far- she just simply doesn't have the talent to beat either Aimee or Lightning, and you combo that with a dead weight parther.

12. CANDI- Just a reminder, Sophie IS a former Television Champion, so its no surprise that this proved to be a tough test for Candi.  She's getting there.

==============GRADE: C-================
13. REBBECCA VALENTINE- That was Rebbecca's first FFW win in 447 days, which has to be some kind of a record, especially considering she's been on the roster the entire time.  Shame the match itself was a forgettable 1 minute washout.

==============GRADE: D==================
14. MELODY WILLIAMS- She's moved up from 'train wreck' status to just plain bad, but there's no doubt in my mind that this is the girl holding Team Dream down.  She either needs to figure out what's wrong and fix it, or get the hell out of here.

==============GRADE: F===================
15. ALEXIS- And we say goodbye to Alexis, who's miserable performance was the final straw for those in charge, who cut her immediately after the show.  I'm actually sad here, I saw a lot of potential in htis girl, but it was never realized.

Show Rankings- BYTE THIS IV

Byte This was another success, raising over $500,000 for the Red Cross.  But who had the best success at Byte This?  Let's see-

1. EILEEN AMARO- Absolutely amazing performance in beating three women at Byte This.  It's looking more and more like this isn't the "close but no cigar" Eileen we've seen in the past.

2. GIGANTE- How scary is Giggy?  The way she tossed Mileena Savage around at the show is yet more proof that this girl is the true "Strong Woman Style" of FFW.

3. WENDY BRIESE- Disappointed in that she didn't get the outright fall, but Wendy still did a very good job in proving that she's shaken off the ring rust.

4. JODIE GRAY- A second to late to break up the pin, and Jodie did have a chance to win towards the end with her mandible claw, but

5. SHANE SANDERS- That was the best match Shane's wrestled since she beat Colleen over a year ago.  Has she finally found her groove in coming back?

6. KINSEY ROBINSON- Close but no cigar for Kinsey, who got tossed out of the ring just as victory was looking good for her, and EIleen took the win instead. Eileen should give her some flowers though- she saved Eileen multiple times.

7. MISTY WHITMORE- Showed tremendous heart after taking a couple hard bumps that clearly affected her performance.

8. MILEENA SAVAGE- She's cooled off considerably since her shocking debut against Claire Black.  Then again, asking her to put GIgante through a table was probably a bit much.

9. TRINITY- Got saved by the Cardinal, but she was dead to rights in that figure four.  Did produce a tough offensive plan against Wendy during the mid to late part of that match, until Wendy took control after countering her Holy Trinity.

10. STEPHANIE SULLIVAN- Wasn't the T&A addled cheesecake disaster we've seen her be before, but she still clearly struggled against the likes of Eileen and Jodie.  No surprise she was the one who ended the night on her back.

POWER X- April 2013

The Power X’s inspirational thought of the week-
You asked for it, you got it, Toyota.”- Arthur Andrews (as played by William Hickey)  “Forget Paris”

Yes, folks!   It’s back!   After two months of riots in the streets and children weeping in their beds, the Power X has finally made its return by popular demand!  We’re keeping it a bit on the simplified side, because of time constraints (as in, I’m not spending two days to write a damn column again.).  So it’s just going to be the rankings from here on in.  And we’re only going to be doing it in the wake of major PPVs, so you’ll only be seeing it every two months.

As such, the rules are changed.
-      All wrestlers who competed for FFW during the last PPV cycle are eligible, and every eligible wrestler is ranked.  However, we’ll just be focusing on the Top 40.  Think of me as Casey Kaseum.  But less sexy, more witty, and not dead.
For the first incarnation of the new Power X… sixty four women qualified.  The twenty four women who were ranked too low are listed as such.

#64- SOPHIA BLACK
#63- CRYSTAL HATE
#62- MELODY WILLIAMS
#61- PARIS XIONIS
#60- SHELBI LYNN CARTER
#59- ENIGMA
#58- ALLISON WILLIAMS
#57- MAIA LOPEZ
#56- REBBECCA VALENTINE
#55- ALEXIS
#54- DANIELLE ARISU
#53- ARIANNA MANNING
#52- MARISSA KANE
#51- HANNA ELLIOT
#50- ASHLEY WHITMORE
#49- SOPHIE RICHARDS
#48- DESIRAE KAIN
#47- RAVEN WICKED
#46- CLAIRE BLACK
#45- CHRISTELLE GILLET
#44- KINSEY ROBINSON
#43- NICOLE WHITMORE
#42- TRINITY
#41- JO MCFARLANE
And now.. the top 40.

40
ABBY FITZPATRICK
Abby hasn’t been seen too much, her last match being a Future Shock Championship tournament loss to Casey Atherton.  But word is she will be participating in the upcoming Breaking Point from Indianapolis.
39

RAQUEL FAIR
Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing the Scarborough Fair in an FFW ring anytime soon, as their loss to Anger Management was a loser leaves town match…
38
MICKEY SCARBOROUGH
…however, I’m proud to announce that CGE will continue to manage their music career, as well as them joining Christian Kincaid’s school to help teach new tag teams the ropes.
37
CANDI
After coming into FFW on a definite hot streak, Candi has hit a bit of a cold spell, losing her last five consecutive matches.
36
JESSIKA HEXSTAR
It’s actually kind of worrying me just how many friends my psychotic cousin’s managed to win over in the last two months.  A lot more than matches she’s won, that’s for sure.
35
MILEENA SAVAGE
Mileena came into FFW on a tear, beating Claire Black in her debut, but we haven’t seen her, since she finished second in the extreme battle royal.
34
STACEY ALLEN
Why is the Undefeated One so low?  Because she hasn’t proven herself anything better than the Power Trip’s lickspittle since returning.  Dubious title wins over in SVW are not going to change that.
33
PENNY BUCHANAN
After losing the rubber match to Payton, Penny seems to have found her niche- the Unity Division, where she’s forming quite the formidable tag team with April Evans.
32
MISS DEMEANOR
I wouldn’t be considering MD a threat to any titles in the near future, but it’s clear that’s not exactly high on her priority list.  She wants Power Trip scalps, and she nearly got herself a few at Chaos Theory
31
STEPHANIE SULLIVAN
Steph can bitch and moan all she wants, but I stand by what I’ve said.  Every true submissionist wrestler in FFW breathed a sigh of relief when Serafina forced her to tap out to keep her from the No Surrender Championship.
30
APRIL EVANS
There’s actually a chance that April may be the quickest double champion in FFW history.  She’s still in the mix for the Future Shock Championship, and the way Anger management is going…
29
PAYTON ST. PIERRE
As could be expected, PayPay didn’t exactly take her loss in the Chase for The Crown graciously.  I have a feeling Kinsey’s going to want a bit of payback after that tantrum.
28
CASEY ATHERTON
It’s been a rough few months for Casey, apparently being kicked out of the Adonis household, and losing her Tag Titles.  She’s still in the mix for the Future Shock belt though.
27
KARA HARRINGTON
Who’s have thought that the psycho queen’s undoing would be a couple of teenagers.  Not Kara, judging by her reaction after tasting a flaming table.
26
GIGANTE
You’d be hard pressed to find a woman who made a more impressive debut to FFW.  Gigante kept us waiting, but it was worth it when she won the Extreme Envy Battle Royal and cemented herself a contender in the UV division.
25
SAMARA STEELE
Samara’s won three in a row, including an emotional win over Marissa Kane at Chaos Theory.
24
CRYSTAL HILTON
Who knows if she’ll even be coming back to wrestling after that disastrous Hardcore War?  Sad fact is, Crystal hasn’t won a match since Anarchy.
23
KATE STEELE
You’d think that after shocking Club CK VIP at Chaos Theory, Kate would have no problem with Hexstar at Relentless… but wrestlings a queer sport.  Especially where zealots are involved.
22
KELLY MCGUFFIN
You can say all you want about Kelly’s attitude at Chaos Theory, but with her sights now firmly set on the TV Title, Jennifer Williams is about to be in the fight of her life.
21
HAYLEY DARK

*UNITY CHAMPION*
One of the best feel good stories of February was Bounce and Pounce rising back to the Unity belts nearly a year to the day after being unfairly stripped of them.
20
UNDINE
Even though Club CK VIP came out on the wrong end against Pure Adrenaline at Chaos Theory, Diney isn’t done with Kate yet.  Both will be challenging Emma for the UV Title very soon.
19
MADDISON KNIGHT
Despite a lackluster showing at Extreme Envy, Maddison Knight has been surprisingly good since her return.  Like… winning a PPV Main Event good.  How scary is that?
18

AIMEE EASTER
4-0 with a Pick Your Poison Contract under her belt.  That’s not helping those  who want to punch her in the face every time she opens her mouth.
17
MISTY WHITMORE
Don’t look now, but Misty’s gotten off to a 4-1-1 start in 2013. She’s going to be in contention  for something major soon, and that will be a true test of her worth.
16
JODIE GRAY
Jodie’s finding out the hard way that winning streaks are only awesome as long as they’re still going on. 10 matches without a loss, and nothing to show for it.   Pity.
15
IGNIS

*UNITY CHAMPION*
Speaking of Winning Streaks- Ignis now has a six matcher going on.  And unlike Jodie, this one’s gotten her a bit of gold in the tag ranks, and quite possibly in singles as well.
14
LIGHTNING
Lightning’s stock took a hit when she lost her TV title to Jenny Williams, but it rebounded slightly when she won that match to knock Colleen out.  Not as much as if she had won it without help, though.
13
CAROLINE DALLINS
Damn!  It looks like the Wendy/Caroline dream match isn’t meant to be.  When one comes back, the other goes out with an injury.  Caroline will be missed- she’s far and away the best wrestler FFW has ever seen to never win a title.
12
CAMILLA PAZZINI
It took a couple months for Chunks to get back in the ring after her injury, but when she did, she was as big a wrecking ball as she’s always been.  If Val were smart, she’d have Chunks in her corner at Relentless for some security.
11
JENNIFER WILLIAMS

*TELEVISION CHAMPION*
And now you’re going to find out why that Hardcore War was a bad idea.  There’s no way in hell Jenny will be 100% when Kelly comes calling.  Not after being destroyed in the middle of a burning ring like that.
10
EILEEN AMARO
The Chase for the Crown is an accomplishment in it’s own right, especially doing it all in one night.  But Eileen wants more, and she’s showing a sense of swagger and confidence I haven’t seen in her before.
9
SERAFINA REYNOLDS

*NO SURRENDER CHAMPION*
Here’s an idea… put Serafina and Jenny- two women notorious for only showing up in big matches- against each other.  With nothing on the line.  We may actually get a black hole in an arena, folks.
8
SCARLETT KINCAID
Say what you will about her actions after the match, but she was instrumental in helping defeat the Power Trip.  She deserves a chance to explain herself before we all jump down her throat.  At least that’s what Wendy’s been telling me.  Over and over and over.
7
STARLA MCCLOUD
Starla seems to have everything going for her right now- she’s got Casey out of the house, no more Team Adonis, she’s the #1 contender… so why do I have this feeling that shit’s about to hit the fan for her?
6
RORI MACKENZIE
Hate her all you want, but Chaos Theory meant a turning of the corner for Rori.  Eighteen months previous, she couldn’t get it done against Scarlett.  She did against the Williams, in absolutely devastating fashion.
5
EMMA MACNAMARA

*ULTRAVIOLENCE CHAMPION*
When Cara Stone got ran out of FFW, I thought that Emma’s life got a ton easier without that rematch on the table.  But the UV division is heating up in all facets now, and Emma’s getting a long line of challengers.  She’ll be busy for a while now… if she survives.
4
KATHERINE STRYFE

*EVOLUTION CHAMPION*
Kat’s days as Evolution Champion may be numbered with a red hot Eileen on her heels, but for now, she can enjoy her four match winning streak.  After the horrible start she had to 2012, Kat’s making her start to 2013 anything but.
3
TARA THUNDER
Serafina would have been in for a fight no matter who won, but you have to think that Cupcake went “oh shit” watching just how intense Tara was as she defeated Caroline Dallins.
2
VALERIE LAMB
Does she have the odds stacked against her at Relentless?  You bet.  Is she one of the few people on the roster capable of overcoming them?  Ditto.  Val’s time is now.
1
ISABELLA PAZZINI

*FFW CHAMPION*
Isabella’s looked vulnerable before, but never as much as she did when Valerie Belmont dispatched her in the ten femme chaos match.  Relentless is going to be a very messy occasion for Bella.  Don’t think for a second it’s going to be the handicapped match everyone thinks it will be.
